The Forces
Poker is not a pile of spots. It emerges from a small number of forces — and each one is a single argument, told in movements.
A force is a chain. Each movement is built to make you need the next, and each ends where the following one begins. Read a force in order and you don't finish with a concept — you finish needing the one after it.
The six forces
-
Force I
Information
The force that governs hidden state — how it is concealed, transmitted, received, extracted, sculpted, and, on the river, destroyed.

Force II
Deception
The next territory after Information — the deliberate planting of a false belief in the other player's mind.
Live -
Force III
Asymmetry
The force of uneven position, range, and initiative — why the same hand is worth different amounts in different seats.
Live -
Force IV
Incentive
The force of prices and pressure — how bet sizing manufactures the choices your opponent is allowed to make.
Live -
Force V
Equilibrium
The force of the counter-strategy — indifference, balance, and the line where deviating no longer pays.
Live -
Force VI
Exploitation
The force of the leak — when to abandon the unbeatable line and take the money a flawed opponent is trying to give you.
